Leaks

Cheap leaky roof
draining all our tears into trash cans on the floor
and when the plastic tubs are full
we’ll bring some more.

The spattering is a lovely rhythm
that never stops for long.
Shut off the water,
reseal all the pipes,
but in two weeks the ceiling will be dripping again.
