Rose Gold

The worst colors are those without heat.
Lifeless rose gold,
once possessed of mythic, mystic power,
now an overpriced IPhone,
an ugly duvet,
clashing with gray and black cabinets,
stainless steel,
in the name of “class” and “interior design,”
Sickly rose gold,
color of a faded icon,
the pale blood of Christ,
decorating the condos,
of the performatively woke,
the selfish and the greedy.
